About the 100M AED NPO Empowerment Fund

The 100M AED NPO Empowerment Fund is a national initiative designed to strengthen the role of non-profit organizations (NPOs) in delivering impactful, community-based programs across the UAE. The first round of funding is now open until 31st May 2026

Applications Now Open

In its first funding cycle, the Fund will prioritize initiatives that reinforce social stability and community cohesion, deliver targeted, high-quality support to individuals and families, and amplify community impact in line with national priorities

The First Cycle

In its first funding cycle, the Fund will prioritize applications that respond to current regional developments and their impact on communities across the UAE. The focus is on supporting initiatives that reinforce social stability, strengthen community cohesion, and provide targeted support to individuals and families.

The Fund will support projects in areas such as:

Education

Health and wellbeing

Community development

Individual and family support

NPO capacity building and volunteering

Environment and Animal Welfare

Funding Types

There are two types of funding available:

Seed Stage Funding

    NPOs that have been established for less than two years can apply for up to AED 500,000 to build their capacity and launch their first programs.

Scale Funding

    NPOs that have been established for more than two years can apply for up to AED 5 Million to expand programs and increase their impact.

Application Criteria

    Applications are evaluated by a specialized committee from the Ministry based on three main criteria: organizational capacity, potential impact, and financial feasibility. Shortlisted applicants may be invited to present their proposals as part of the process.
    All NPOs registered in the UAE, including those licensed by the Ministry of Community Empowerment, local authorities, or relevant free zone authorities, are welcome to apply.
