Apply for an Extension of a Fundraising Permit

A service that enables any legal entity holding a permit to collect donations inside the UAE to submit a request to the Ministry of Community Empowerment to extend the validity of the previously issued fundraising permits extended ensuring the continued implementation of fundraising activities that support charitable, humanitarian, social, and developmental causes..

Apply for Approval for Activities and Events

A service that enables non-profit organizations to submit a request to the Ministry of Community Empowerment to obtain official approval for organizing the activities or events conducted by the organization, and to obtain approval for hosting individuals from within or outside the country, provided that such participation falls within the scope of the organization’s objectives and supports its community mission.

Apply for Organizations to Participate in Activities and Events (Inside/ Outside UAE)

Allowing organizations to participate in activities and events organized by organizations or entities within or outside the UAE, provided that such participation aligns with the organization's objectives and supports its social mission.

Apply for Affiliation, Engagement or Collaboration with Organizations Outside the UAE

Regulating the affiliation of non-profit organizations with regional or international associations and entities, ensuring that such affiliation aligns with the organization’s objectives and Articles of Association, complies with applicable laws and regulations, and promotes cooperation, knowledge exchange, and partnership building in support of the public interest, while ensuring transparency, oversight, and protection of the organization from any unauthorized legal or regulatory obligations.

Issuance of a "To Whom It May Concern" Certificate For banks and relevant authorities

Issuance of a "To Whom It May Concern" certificate to registered NPOs confirming their licensing and registration, for use with banks and relevant authorities to open or activate accounts, extend signing authority, or complete related official transactions

Apply for a License to Establish a Place of Worship for Non-Muslims

Regulating the establishment and operation of places of worship for non-Muslims by reviewing licensing applications in accordance with the provisions of the UAE Law No. (9) of 2023 on the Regulation of Places of Worship for Non-Muslims and its executive regulations.

Social Welfare Application

The Social Welfare Program is a federal initiative that offers monthly financial assistance to Emirati families with limited income, aiming to strengthen their economic stability and empowerment. The program focuses on protecting the most vulnerable groups of the community, offering a comprehensive support system. It provides basic monthly allowances tailored to the needs of different family types, along with complementary allowances for families already receiving this support. It also offers a housing allowance for families who have not received government housing assistance, and an academic excellence allowance for university students, children or siblings of beneficiaries, who achieve outstanding academic performance. Eligibility for the program is based on specific social and economic criteria and is subject to defined conditions and regulations.

Issue a "To Whom It May Concern" Certificate Regarding Social Support

The Ministry issues a “To Whom It May Concern” letter upon request by individuals or entities, to verify whether the person in question is receiving social support from the Ministry. To access this service, it is required to create a personal profile through the official online platform.

Applying for Inflation Allowance

Temporary monthly allowances are provided to families with a monthly income of less than 25,000 AED, with the allowance amount adjusted to align with the emerging economic and social conditions in the country, aiming to meet the living needs and combat the rising costs of fuel, food, electricity, and water.

It aims to enable beneficiaries to estimate the financial assistance they may be eligible to receive. The calculator considers several factors such as the number of family members, marital status, monthly income, and number of dependents to provide an approximate estimate of the amount a person may qualify for. This calculator serves as an initial step to help individuals understand their potential eligibility, but it does not constitute a final decision. To receive support, a formal application must be submitted and reviewed according to the approved terms and conditions.

971 From the Community

The “971 From the Community” initiative empowers Emirati family entrepreneurs to transform their skills, products, and home-based businesses into scalable and sustainable economic ventures by providing a dedicated marketing platform that enhances growth opportunities, expands market reach, and supports business continuity. Since its launch in 2009, the initiative has evolved into an annual platform supporting home-based businesses, organised by the Ministry through its pavilion at Global Village, which runs for six months. The platform enables participants to showcase their products, strengthen their market presence, and reach a wider customer base. The initiative also contributes to the growth and development of home-based businesses by creating an integrated marketing environment that enhances their competitiveness and provides new opportunities for expansion and wider reach. This aligns with the UAE’s vision of fostering a culture of community entrepreneurship and achieving sustainable economic empowerment.

Projects Acceptance Criteria

Applicants must be UAE citizens and 21 years old minimum. They must not run a business from any fixed location. Also, they must not have previously participated in the Global Village pavilions. Priority will be given to families benefiting from social welfare program, or their family members providing that they commit to attending the training and guidance workshops organized by the Ministry of Community Empowerment in collaboration with Global Village Management. Applicants must also comply with public health regulations and submit an accredited certification for cosmetic products or an activity permit, along with obtaining the necessary official approvals.
