inistry of Community Empowerment Hosts “Digital Empowerment Journey for the Third Sector” Forum to Enhance Non-Profit Organizations’ Role in Sustainable Development

The Ministry of Community Empowerment has organized the “Digital Empowerment Journey for the Third Sector” forum. The event was held at the Youth Center in Ajman, with the participation of 27 Non-Profit organizations from across the Emirates.
The forum highlighted the Ministry’s strategic vision that digital empowerment is essential to strengthening institutional efficiency and establishing non-profit organizations as vital partners in sustainable development.
The forum showcased nine new digital services within three main pillars. The first focused on institutional establishment, addressing the technical and operational standards for establishing and managing non-profit organizations, their branches, and their bank accounts. The second was the fundraising regulation portal, designed to ensure transparent management of donations in line with the highest standards, and the third pillar centered on Participation in International Activities, enabling organizations to join regional and international associations, organize conferences and seminars, host global expertise, and adopt best practices.
The forum was an interactive experience enabling participants to engage directly with the digital services and provide feedback through a unified QR code—reflecting the Ministry’s shift toward an integrated digital ecosystem that transforms insights into actionable development recommendations.
The initiative reflects the UAE’s vision of institutionalizing community work through knowledge and technology, emphasizing that digital transformation amplifies the reach and impact of organizations.
The Ministry affirmed that the “Digital Empowerment Journey for the Third Sector” is not merely a forum, but a strategic step toward building a fully digital society—placing people and institutions at the center of a national project inspired by the leadership’s vision that “the future begins today.”
