The Youth Council of the Ministry of Community Empowerment Organizes a Series of Ramadan Sessions as Part of the "Community Dialogue" Initiative, in Alignment with the Leadership’s Declaration of 2025 as the Year of Community

The Youth Council of the Ministry of Community Empowerment is organizing three Ramadan sessions as part of the "Community Dialogue" initiative in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah, in conjunction with the leadership’s announcement of 2025 as the Year of Community. These sessions are held in collaboration with Majalis Abu Dhabi at the Presidential Court, Abu Dhabi Youth Council, DP World, the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation in Dubai, and Arada Real Estate Development Group in Sharjah. The sessions will address key discussion topics that reinforce social values, community cohesion, and authentic Emirati traditions.
The first session, titled "The Community Empowerment System and Creating Sustainable Impact," was hosted at Al Dana Majlis in Abu Dhabi. The session was attended by Sheikh Tahnoun bin Saeed Al Nahyan, a member of the UAE Youth Council for Humanitarian Work, along with Her Excellency Aisha Yousef, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Community Empowerment, His Excellency Dr. Hamad Al Mesafri, Assistant Undersecretary for the Social Institutions Regulation Sector, Her Excellency Noor Abu Al-Houl, Assistant Undersecretary for Social Support and Empowerment, and Mohammed Al Shamsi, Chairman of the UAE Youth Council for Humanitarian Work, along with various officials and community members.
The session highlighted the significance of the Year of Community initiative, emphasizing its role in strengthening family ties, promoting social cohesion, and instilling a culture of shared responsibility. It also shed light on the Ministry of Community Empowerment’s efforts in managing the social support and empowerment system to enhance the quality of life for Emirati families. The discussion extended to the empowerment strategies for the Third Sector, ensuring community harmony and fostering a culture of active social participation. Additionally, the session emphasized the importance of the Fundraising Regulation Law, which provides a safe and encouraging framework for humanitarian and social giving.
Attendees also gained insights into the UAE Youth Council for Humanitarian Work, recently launched by the International Humanitarian Affairs Council in collaboration with the Federal Youth Authority. The council aims to empower youth to actively contribute to achieving international sustainable development goals, reinforcing the UAE’s humanitarian vision and leadership in global charitable efforts.
The second Ramadan session, titled "Community Empowerment and the Positive Role of the Private Sector in Enhancing Quality of Life," will be held in collaboration with Arada Real Estate Development Group on Thursday, March 13, at Aljada in Sharjah. This session will explore the private sector’s collaborative efforts with government entities to enhance their role, partnerships, and social responsibility in building a prosperous and sustainable society characterized by cohesion and solidarity.
The final session of the Ramadan series will take place on Wednesday, March 19, coinciding with the Zayed Humanitarian Work Day. Titled "Sustaining the Approach of Community Empowerment, Charitable Work, and the Continuity of Giving," the session will be held in collaboration with DP World. Discussions will focus on the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, whose vision transformed the UAE into a global hub for humanitarian work, contributing significantly to the advancement of human communities while embodying the nation’s values of tolerance, generosity, and extending a helping hand to those in need.
