The Ministry of Community Empowerment is participating in the 11th edition of the “Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival 2026”, organized by the the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media from 30 July to 3 August at Emirates Hospitality Hall. The participation aims to introduce participants and visitors to the opportunities and initiatives offered by the Ministry to support talents, while encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs seeking to transform their ideas into promising projects to register for and benefit from the “Empowerment for Emirati Families Entrepreneurs” Program, one of the key tracks under the National Empowerment Program “Madar”.

Through its stand, the Ministry is showcasing examples of beneficiaries’ projects under the “Empowerment for Emirati Families Entrepreneurs” Program, highlighting their success stories. It is also introducing festival visitors to the Ministry’s efforts in supporting entrepreneurs, promoting their products, and marketing them through its various channels, in collaboration with its government and private sector partners.

Commenting on the participation, Ahlam Al Ahmed, Director of the Social and Economic Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Community Empowerment, said: “The Ministry’s participation in the Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival 2026 reflects its commitment to expanding the impact of economic empowerment programs and providing interactive marketing platforms for entrepreneurs. It also offers visitors an opportunity to learn about empowerment Programs, while encouraging talented individuals and entrepreneurs from various backgrounds to register for the “Madar” Program.”

She noted that this participation enhances visitors’ awareness of the National Empowerment Program “Madar” and the training, qualification, and development opportunities it offers, while supporting the establishment of community partnerships that contribute to expanding the reach of its initiatives and beneficiaries.
Al Ahmed added that “Madar” forms part of an integrated strategic vision adopted by the Ministry to advance economic empowerment and transform beneficiaries from recipients of support into productive individuals who actively contribute to sustainable social and economic development through capacity building, creating opportunities, and enhancing professional readiness.

She further explained that the “Madar” Program includes two main tracks: “Professional Empowerment” and “Empowerment for Emirati Families Entrepreneurs”, to enhance beneficiaries’ alignment with evolving needs and strengthen their readiness to enter the labour market and support the development of their projects. The Program enables beneficiaries to build a more stable professional and economic future while contributing to the UAE’s goals in sustainable social and economic empowerment.
