Ministry of Community Empowerment and Awqaf Authority enhance institutional integration and complete the “information exchange and electronic connectivity” project; benefitting more than 7,000 beneficiaries and reducing transaction time to less than a minute.

United Arab Emirates, Dubai - Ministry of Community Empowerment - December 2024: In a pioneering step towards enhancing governmental integration, the Ministry of Community Empowerment and the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat announced the completion of the "Information Exchange and Electronic Linkage" project between the two entities. The announcement took place in the presence of H.E. Shamma bint Sohail Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Empowerment, H.E. Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat, along with several officials.

The project aims to strengthen mutual cooperation and enhance the services provided to the community, with a considerable focus on enabling the Ministry’s beneficiaries to access proactive services related to obtaining Hajj permits from the Authority.

Concerning the outcome, the project has achieved excellent results, benefiting 7,092 individuals through the electronic linkage. Among them were 409 people of determination, 6,683 individuals with limited income, and 5,577 senior citizens. Additionally, the project successfully eliminated the requirement for documentation from all beneficiary categories. This collaboration aligns with the objectives of the plans of the "Zero Bureaucracy" program, which seeks to simplify and streamline government procedures, reinforcing the UAE government’s leadership and global competitiveness in governmental efficiency.

Furthermore, this partnership aims to integrate individual data within systems in compliance with applicable policies and regulations while ensuring accuracy through all possible means to support, develop, and sustain the project. It also seeks to strengthen social values and community cohesion through joint programs and initiatives between both entities.
