Shamma Al Mazrui Visits “971… From the Community” Pavilion at Global Village

Shamma Al Mazrui:

H.E. Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Empowerment, visited the “971… From the Community” pavilion participating in the 30th season of Global Village 2025–2026. During the visit, H.E. explored a range of products designed by 32 Emirati family entrepreneurs, reflecting the Ministry’s vision to shift from “care to social and economic empowerment.” The pavilion supports these entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas into sustainable success stories that enhance their stability and overall quality of life.
Her Excellency commended the exceptional quality and of the participants’ products; a testament to community-driven entrepreneurship which reflect the UAE’s commitment to empowering youth and Emirati families. H.E.  emphasized that every ambitious idea is a foundation for a future national project that nurtures local talent, boosts the national economy, and creates a meaningful impact on the country’s development journey.
Inspiring Success Stories
Her Excellency reaffirmed the Ministry’s strong belief in the remarkable potential of Emirati family entrepreneurs and their ability to create positive impact, serve their communities, and pursue their aspirations. H.E. expressed her delight at the inspiring national success stories highlighted during the visit; stories of entrepreneurs who transformed their ideas and creativity into high-value, competitive home-based businesses. H.E. praised their proactive spirit and innovation in leveraging the opportunities provided by the Ministry to expand the reach of their projects, enhance their visibility, and achieve meaningful financial growth.
The participation of the “971… From the Community” pavilion in Global Village marks its seventeenth season, during which it has supported more than 1,000 ambitious national projects in collaboration with the Global Village management, the region’s leading family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment.

Panel Discussion
Her Excellency also attended a panel discussion titled “Sustainability in Empowering Emirati Family Entrepreneurs” hosted by the pavilion and featuring H.E. Aisha Yousef, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Community Empowerment and H.E. Noor Abulhoul, Assistant Undersecretary Social Welfare and Empowerment Sector.
The session brought together several partners, ministry leaders, participating family entrepreneurs, and a number of visitors. It highlighted the Ministry’s efforts to support and empower Emirati family entrepreneurs’ projects, the pavilion’s role in showcasing their products and enabling them to access high-quality promotional opportunities, and its contribution to introducing Global Village visitors to their offerings. The discussion also shed light on the contributions of government and private sector partners and presented a selection of the most inspiring success stories from participating entrepreneurs.
The pavilion serves as an innovative national marketing platform that supports Emirati family entrepreneurs in establishing home-based businesses and enables them to confidently participate in the local market. It also helps them build a broad customer base among residents and visitors, contributing to their impactful participation in the country’s comprehensive development and fostering an environment that supports growth and sustainability.
The pavilion attracts diverse participation from various segments of the community, including youth, women, and People of Determination, who showcase competitive and innovative national products with a modern touch that appeals to Global Village visitors. These include traditional products that reflect authentic Emirati heritage, as well as food and beverages, perfumes and incense, clothing and accessories, personal care products, and other unique, creatively crafted items.
