In collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and NAFIS Ministry of Community Empowerment Supports Over 190 National Talents Working in the Third Sector, Emphasizing Role Integration for Greater Benefits

As part of its commitment to support and empower national talents working in the third sector and in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization and NAFIS, the Ministry of Community Empowerment has provided financial support to over 190 national talents across 17 licensed non-profit organizations. NAFIS has disbursed approximately 25 million dirhams as of last June.
This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s objectives to enhance the impact of the third sector within the social and economic empowerment framework, positioning it as an attractive work environment that leverage the of national talents’ skills. Emiratis employed by licensed non-profit organizations registered with one of the country’s approved pension funds are eligible to apply for the “NAFIS” programs and initiatives.
The collaboration between the Ministry of Community Empowerment, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization, and the Emirates Competitiveness Council exemplifies an integrated governmental model that supports the social economy system and broadens the reach of Emiratization programs. This is particularly important for the third sector, a key pillar in achieving national priorities, enhancing social stability and cohesion. It also supports the UAE government’s strategic vision to create an enabling work environment that nurtures the professional development of citizens in line with labor market needs.
The Ministry’s initiatives focus on empowering individuals, activating the third sector, and fostering shared responsibility and social cohesion through a comprehensive social support and empowerment system. This includes developing innovative pathways to diversify income sources, ensuring role complementarity and inclusivity of benefits.
Notably, the “NAFIS” program, part of the projects of the 50, aims to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of national talents in the labor market—covering both the private and third sectors—within a broad federal strategy to achieve sustainable development and promote social and economic empowerment.
