Statement by Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Empowerment, on Zayed Humanitarian Work Day

Dubai – Ministry of Community Empowerment, March 2025:
Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Empowerment, affirmed that “Zayed Humanitarian Work Day” represents an ongoing journey of giving and a continuous vision of boundless goodness, honoring the legacy of the late founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. His humanitarian spirit has made the UAE a beacon of compassion and a global model for sustainable generosity.

On this occasion, which falls on the 19th of Ramadan each year, Her Excellency stated:
"We commemorate this day by renewing our commitment to be makers of hope, builders of the future, and bearers of the UAE’s message to the world. For the people of Zayed, giving is a national identity and a way of life."

She added:
"Our father, Sheikh Zayed, taught us that true generosity empowers people and enables them to build their own future. Today, our wise leadership carries this approach forward with unwavering determination. The UAE does not recognize the impossible when it comes to serving humanity. We believe that actions speak louder than words and that humanitarian achievements are the greatest legacy we can leave for future generations."

Her Excellency emphasized that under its visionary leadership, the UAE continues along the path of generosity laid out by Zayed the Good, stating:
"The people of the UAE are ambassadors of kindness across the globe. Their efforts transcend geographical borders and cultural differences to reach those in need worldwide, because we believe that our humanitarian mission is global in scope and Emirati in identity."
