Aligned with its Commitment to advancing government operation in line with the directives of the UAE’s wise leadership and the nation’s strategic vision, the Ministry of Community Empowerment recently organized an introductory workshop on the "Zero Government Bureaucracy" program. This workshop was held in partnership with the Emirates Government Excellence Program at the Prime Minister’s Office—an esteemed national initiative launched in March 2011 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, aiming to elevate government services and position the UAE as a global leader in public service excellence.
The workshop forms part of broader government efforts aligned with the second cycle of the "Zero Government Bureaucracy" program. It reflects the Ministry’s commitment to raising awareness about the importance of continuous service development—making services more efficient, flexible, and innovative to meet the evolving expectations of users in the digital era.
The agenda featured detailed presentations on the program’s objectives, requirements, implementation methodology, practical tools, and performance standards. Attendees discussed opportunities to build a modern government model centered on the customer needs. The Emirates Government Excellence Program team delivered a comprehensive presentation, fostering discussion on ideas to accelerate and simplify government procedures while emphasizing efficiency, innovation, and creative thinking.
The workshop underscored the program’s vital role in removing procedural obstacles, adopting innovative working methods to enhance customer experience, and promoting stronger collaboration across government entities—supporting a comprehensive shift toward integrated digital services. It concluded with the development of an action plan to achieve the program’s targets and deliver exceptional government services that ensure customer satisfaction.
Launched in November 2023, the "Zero Government Bureaucracy" program represents a national blueprint for simplifying and speeding up government processes while boosting efficiency. Through this initiative, the UAE government aims to make a transformative leap in public administration. The Ministry is dedicated to embedding zero bureaucracy as a core culture within its daily operations, ensuring the program’s objectives remain central to employee practices and customer engagement across all communication channels.
