The Ministry of Community Empowerment took part in a panel discussion titled “From Support to Empowerment” during the second edition of the Nafis Annual Forum, held on 20 November at Expo City Dubai. The forum brought together prominent national leaders to explore the future of Emirati talent in the labor market.
The session hosted H.E. Noor Abulhoul, Assistant Undersecretary Social Welfare and Empowerment Sector at the Ministry of Community Empowerment, H.E. Hessa Tahlak, Assistant Undersecretary for the Development Sector at the Ministry of Family, and H.E. Hind Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Pensions Sector at the General Pension and Social Security Authority.
Discussions focused on developing a national vision that supports the long-term participation of Emiratis in the workforce and highlighted the Nafis Program’s social impact in empowering national talent and reinforcing family stability. The session also explored the role of pension funds in enhancing the appeal of private-sector employment and emphasized the need for collaboration of national entities to build sustainable career pathways to create opportunities for future generations.
During the session, H.E. Noor Abulhoul underscored the Ministry of Community Empowerment’s commitment to providing support to citizens and motivating them to engage in the labor market. H.E. outlined a set of amendments introduced under the Restructuring Program, including enhanced support for senior citizens who are retired yet employed in the private sector. H.E. also emphasized the importance of introducing new allowances, including an inflation allowance for beneficiary families, aimed at strengthening financial stability and encouraging greater citizen participation in the workforce.
The Nafis Forum stands as a leading national platform that brings together leaders from the government and private sectors, along with key strategic partners, to foster collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of best practices in Emiratisation, with the objective of preparing a distinguished generation of national professionals.
