The Ministry of Community Empowerment, during its “Empowerment 360” discussion session at GITEX Global 2025, highlighted its initiatives to strengthen the Non-Profit Organizations sector and enhance its societal role and impact in driving sustainable development.
The session was attended by Mohammed Naqi, Director of the Licensing Department, Salah Khamis Al-Hosani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Teachers' Association, and Mona Al-Matroushi, Director General of the Ajman Society for Social and Cultural Development.
Naqi explained that the Non-Profit Organizations sector represents a key pillar in supporting community development and achieving sustainable impact. He noted that the Ministry is working to activate the sector’s role by developing an integrated legislative and regulatory environment that enables these institutions to strengthen their contribution as a key partner in driving national development, believing in their vital role in building a prosperous and cohesive society.
He highlighted the Ministry’s launch of the “National Register of Non-Profit Organizations”, a unified digital platform supported by artificial intelligence technologies, as part of the national digital platform for this sector.
Naqi explained that the register streamlines procedures, reducing processing times to just a few minutes, and enhances service efficiency through integration and data sharing with relevant entities, supported by full process automation.
He added that approximately 800 Non-Profit Organizations are currently registered and licensed by the Ministry, operating across a wide range of fields.
